daa84
I wanted to post this a while ago but have been out of town....but my man crush on this duo is approaching the level of the Rooney/Farmio pairing. When they first brought King on for a handful of games and to take some time away from Red Kerr I didn't really like him much, but man oh man do I really enjoy listening to him, he's informative, entertaining, competitive. And the decision to bring Neil Funk over from the radio was brilliant, even though at the time I was sad to see Tom Dore go. They have such a great chemistry together and they just really work for me. I'm looking forward to listening the two next year already. If you're afraid, go buy a dog.... JuiceCruz16
I didn't care for either at first, but Stacey King has grown on me. Neil Funk is TERRIBLE though. Absoulutly no appreciation for him from me.
RockRaines
Stacey King has grown on me as well. He had a long way to go in my eyes considering how much I hated him when his lazy fat ass "played" for the Bulls, but I think he adds a touch of attitude that a younger generation likes to hear on a broadcast, and he also isnt afraid to disagree. BigSqwert
Neil Funk's voice sounds like a radio guy from 1948.
whitesoxfan101
I actually liked Neil on the radio, but he was just plain awful this season on the tv side. Maybe I just liked him on radio because I only heard him on occasion. I am a big Stacey King fan though, and I do think he and Neil have great chemistry. It's just that Neil has really lost his fastball when it comes to actually calling the game. Edited May 4, 2009 by whitesoxfan101
Dick Allen
I think they are great together. I love it when they tease each other, plus Stacey is becoming a pretty informative analyst, and he worked a "he gone" into a playoff broadcast. Neil needs a few more Kabooms but for some reason Tom Dore never worked for me, and I consider Neil an upgrade. Ron
Stacey King is okay. But Neil Funk is really lackluster to me. I liked Tom Dore and Wayne Larivee much more than him.
wilmot825
Stacey King has the best nicknames for people....like Scalawhatever his name is, Stacey referred to him as "Jackie Moon" the whole series. Too Funny
Steve9347
Here's how I handled the channels. ESPN / CSN / WGN - watch the local TNT / CSN / WGN - TNT TNT > all, just because they do that good a job. I like Funk/King though.

Nyx81
Stacey and Neil are one of my favorites to watch. The things Stacey says are hilarious, and I too think they (Neil and Stacey) work well together. Get out the way! (in my best stacey king voice)

But i'm not much for listening to Kevin Harlan. But I do love me some Neil Funk & Stacey King.
nitetrain8601
Stacey is hilarious. I think him and Wayne Larrivee would be great. Neil often got names wrong, especially in the beginning of the season. And he wouldn't even state what was going on the court correctly.

And he wouldn't even state what was going on the court correctly. he was able to slide on that sort of thing when he was on the radio because nobody could see it, now it is plain as day. And it is pretty bad too, he is often VERY wrong

Too Funny Scalabrini reminds me of Micheal Rapperport, and Salmons reminds me of Wesley Snipes. I was refering to each by those names quite often throughout the series. JorgeFabregas
Scalabrini wore the headband for medical reasons and told some of the national announcers "No Will Ferrell jokes, please." They also referred to him as Jackie Moon--I don't think Stacey came up with that one--if he did, he wasn't the only one.

I thought it was hilarious last season when he started calling the Wizards' Alexei Pecherov "Stewie" from Family Guy. He even superimposed Stewie's head over him when somebody (Nocioni?) posterized him on a fast break. Too funny. Edit: Yeah, it was Noce. SoxFan1
I hated Stacey King at first, but he has really grown on me too. I love the nicknames, I love how he makes fun of Niel Funk, I love the posterization thing they have going, and I love his knowledge which is obviously huge for a color guy. The only thing that irks me is how he tries to get ghetto sometimes. It just comes off really bad. For example, if someone makes a very contested shot, he loves to use the "put that in your mouth" or the overused "take that with you." Other than that, Stacey is the man.
