May 19, 200916 yr Not that he's young and has a good chance to make any sort of impact at the major league level, but he needs to look in the mirror one day, maybe hop on a scale too, and realize that what's keeping him from staying in the big leagues isn't his inability to hit the ball out of the park, but his regular attempts to hit the ball out of the park. He may be one of the dumbest hitters I've ever seen.
May 19, 200916 yr Let's hope he turns it around and becomes an asset to this team sometime in the future. IF fathom is right we just got ride of the Lillicurse all things will come back to normal now.
May 19, 200916 yr QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 19, 2009 -> 02:23 PM) We can celebrate this. Let's not get crazy... it's not like he was sent to AA. Still only a DL stint away from returning. Hopefully he'll have enough eligibilty to garner ROY votes by the end of the season

May 19, 200916 yr KW being the selfish person he is waited this long to clarify him a bust. A real GM would lick their wounds and move on.
May 19, 200916 yr QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ May 19, 2009 -> 02:37 PM) KW being the selfish person he is waited this long to clarify him a bust. A real GM would lick their wounds and move on. If KW was that quick to clairfy a player a bust, Joe Crede would have never lifted up a championship trophy on a double decker bus in the loop. Is Lillebridge ready? Hell no. Is he a bust? We'll see.

May 19, 200916 yr QUOTE (watchtower41 @ May 19, 2009 -> 02:40 PM) If KW was that quick to clairfy a player a bust, Joe Crede would have never lifted up a championship trophy on a double decker bus in the loop. Is Lillebridge ready? Hell no. Is he a bust? We'll see. You are correct, Im just so upset with the quality of this team lately.

May 19, 200916 yr Who are our SS/2b/OF in Charlotte? Anyone we care about? Because they're in danger. Grave danger.
May 19, 200916 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 19, 2009 -> 02:49 PM) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooo there are not nearly enough "OoooO"s in this quote in reaction to what i said. I was expecting about a page and a half
May 19, 200916 yr Braves fans were correct, the kid is garbage. His swing and approach need to be made over 100% for him to succeed in baseball. Methinks it never happens.
May 19, 200916 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 19, 2009 -> 02:51 PM) Who are our SS/2b/OF in Charlotte? Anyone we care about? Because they're in danger. Grave danger. Eider Torres, Keith Ginter, Restovich... mostly no one worth mentioning, except maybe Kroeger in the OF.
May 19, 200916 yr I'll say it again...the Pirates AND the Braves gave up on him. I guess this means that Brian Anderson is coming up.

Methinks it never happens. How stubborn do you have to be to have people tell you that the only way you're ever going to be a big leaguer long-term and make anything more than a pittance in earnings is to make changes and for you to not do them?
May 19, 200916 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 19, 2009 -> 03:16 PM) How stubborn do you have to be to have people tell you that the only way you're ever going to be a big leaguer long-term and make anything more than a pittance in earnings is to make changes and for you to not do them? These guys have been the best player around them for their entire life, they've been told by people around them how good they were. I dont blame them for being stubborn really. Of course the first time he failed at the big league level should have been a wakeup, apparently it wasnt.
May 19, 200916 yr QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 19, 2009 -> 03:33 PM) These guys have been the best player around them for their entire life, they've been told by people around them how good they were. I dont blame them for being stubborn really. Of course the first time he failed at the big league level should have been a wakeup, apparently it wasnt. You're right. Unfortunately, some players are developed to perform where they're at rather than the next level. It's why a guy like Anderson comes up and has a long, hole-filled swing. It worked in the minors with lesser quality pitchers who will miss out over the plate.
