June 9, 200916 yr Thank you. White probably goes here, but the Tribe likes Brothers a lot. White is great value though.
June 9, 200916 yr It is looking more and more likely that one of Arnett/Brothers/Gibson is there and Scheppers will probably be there unless someone surprises us. Cards are about the only team I can think of with the pockets that might do that, but they love prep players in general. Dbacks of two years ago would have gobbled up Scheppers but not anymore.
June 9, 200916 yr I'm not crazy about Arnett, I hope we stay away there. Well crap, White is going to be a good one. Edited June 9, 200916 yr by Palehosefan
June 9, 200916 yr I'm beginning to think Sox should take a pitcher with first pick and then an outfielder with 2nd pick. Seems like someone like Williams or Fuentes could drop to the 38th pick.
June 9, 200916 yr QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jun 9, 2009 -> 06:07 PM) I'm not crazy about Arnett, I hope we stay away there. I want him. Guy pumps gas and pitched well in an underrated Big Ten.
June 9, 200916 yr Arnett probably falls. Fathom, Sox have a preference of Arnett/Brothers over the outfielders. So if those guys are on the board, they take em. Not sure about scheppers but again, it wouldn't at all be the Sox MO. I also can't comment on Gibson.
June 9, 200916 yr An outfielder and a pitcher will go off the board in the next two picks to the DBacks, but they also like Borchering.

I feel those guys are of greater value than some of the outfielders we've been mentioned with.
June 9, 200916 yr The thing is, most every way I saw the draft shaking out I saw Brothers/Arnett off the board, which than put the Sox at taking the prep outfielder and than the guy from OU or someone similar.

June 9, 200916 yr I think Gibson might go here, its about the only place he'd go, otherwise I see him falling outside of the top 25, maybe even the 1st round, although the Cubs might go the value route on him. Pollack is a definate possibility as well.

June 9, 200916 yr They'll go with an easy sign, thats for certain. Them and the Angels have the most picks in the draft.

June 9, 200916 yr to the people who know these things better than me, is there a chance the sox take a high upside high school pitcher and will there even be some1 like that available. I think we have an opportunity to take some1 who might take a while to develop but could be potentially great thanks
June 9, 200916 yr Ya, I don't think Gibson is a tough sign, so he might still be a possibility, otherwise I'm thinking Pollack.
