Eric Davis looking sharp.

He's the coolest man in the world.

I'd guess a pitcher, but who knows.

Sox gets Trayce Thompson? A CF

Edited by Thunderbolt

Is Wil Myers still on the board? I know we already drafted a catcher, but Myers would be very tempting.

still no pitchers?

I love the Thompson pick...huge potential. Great family for sports. I'll be surprised if he's not the best of our 3 picks so far.

Trayce Thompson HS OF from Cali committed to UCLA.

Trace Thompson, local kid out of Rancho Santa Margarita. He's going to UCLA. I'll try to interview him. Michael Thompsons kid. He's supposed to have really good tools. MLB.com calls him the most improved player. Multi sport guy in High school, just focused on baseball his senior season. Can't complain here, not at all. Athletism and all. Power potential.

Trace Thompson called the most improved High Schooler, kid is tall

Son of Michael Thompson

He sounds like he has a hell of a lot of potential

sounds like a high upside guy

Thompson is the son of Mychal Thompson, the former NBA star who played on several Los Angeles Lakers NBA championship clubs in the 1980s, and the bloodlines show. A 6-foot-4, 200-pound outfielder, Thompson has terrific bat speed, and his future power potential is exciting. He has a great frame that's both athletic and projectable, and his arm strength is impressive. The primary drawbacks are his instincts and feel for the game. He has the look of a player who is relatively new to baseball and is still learning the basics. He often hesitates in the outfield and won't attempt to throw out runners trying to advance, or will defer to other fielders on balls hit in the gaps. Thompson generates terrific bat speed, but his swing is long on the back end and his timing is affected by his habit of pulling out his front side too quickly. Thompson's selection in this draft would be made on potential alone. If he goes to UCLA, develops his skills and gains experience, he would likely be a much higher pick in 2012.

Michael Thompson is on the radio a lot around here and they'd have baseball people ocassionally talk about his kid and everyone gushed about him. I think this is a great pick. Won't be an easy sign, depends on how badly he wants to play in the pro's. His family has money.

Never heard of this kid, but I like it anyway. HS CF that's 6'4'' 200 lbs. Looks like he has a chance to fill out and be a power hitter.

WSU guard Klay Thompson is his brother.

Don't know much about him, so I can't really talk.... I'll just say meh, not who I wanted, but looks like he has potential.

Indians get Kipnis.

Bahaha, is Jason Bere really the best the Tribe could get?

Jason Bere looks like he has been struck repeatedly with the age stick. Also Trayce Thompson and his father have the oddly placed "y" in common.

I love this pick. I think we go pitchers with the next two picks though.

Wrong guy or so I'd assume, since Thompson is black.
