Let's hear what you guys think.

Allen by a wide margin, if I had to guess.

Thats surprising, Allen seems like the one most likely to stick on a major league roster at worse similar to a Kasey Kotchman type player, but imo Carter definitely has more potential of the 2, he might be a future DH but a DH with 40 HR power.

I know some guys are going to b**** but I started the thread looking for fantasy advice in a dynasty league that I run (a few teams are available if anyone is interested; message me). I currently own Allen but I'm looking into trading Allen for Chris Carter if I hear what I like on him.

I'd take Carter.

Carter.

carter easy

carter, huge power and obp

Carter. Looks like he's putting it all together now.

Carter has the most potential, but Allen is the safer bet to develop/make it. I still don't think Carter makes it, but his upside is really special.

The exact opposite because of this below.

I'd easily take Carter due to the elite level power and superior walk rate.

I'm not thrilled by Brandon raking for a short period of time in a huge hitters' league.

Well to be fair, I had him rated higher than most well before the trade to the PCL. I just see more to like there. Carter walks a lot, but also K's a lot more often than Allen.

Though I will be the first to admit, I have not seen Chris Carter in person.

Also, I hadn't seen Carter's AA numbers this year - and they are pretty staggering. Maybe enough for me to not consider it such a large margin, but, I'd still take Allen.

Carter by a large margin.

Definitely Chris Carter.
