Boston vs Detroit 8/11

Featured Replies

Porcello nailed Youkilis and he charged the mound and took him down. Classic.

Youkilis threw his helmet at him. HAHA

Miguel Cabrera gets hit on the hand by a pitch in the first (totally Cabrera's fault, ball may have been over the plate) so Porcella throws at Victor Martinez in the bottom half and misses but Victor has a few words for him. Cabrera has to leave the game after his next AB because he just can't swing the bat so Porcello nails Youk in the bottom half of the inning.

It seems like a misguided attempt by a rookie to protect his teammate.

Porcello thrown out of the game with 15 pitches thrown. Now's the time for Boston to come back and beat these kittys.

Youkilis was pissed yesterday when he was beaned. i thought he was going to charge then

Youk got owned pretty badly. Porcello do a nice throw when he got charged and basically body slammed Youk.

That's the complete opposite of what happened. Porcello was practically running away and Youk's momentum brought them both down.

I watched it and saw the replay 3 times. It was a clear side step and throw. If Youk's momentum was what brought them down, then Youk wouldn't have ended up on his back.

I agree, and none of Porcello's teammates got between them until it was too late. They just stood there and watched.

So basically that's a guaranteed suspension for both of them?

Porcello 100% guaranteed yes. Youk, probably, but who cares?

We're still in the wild card hunt as well, although that's an outside shot.

This could make a huge impact on our playoff chances depending on severity,

Yeah, both probably will get suspended. Youk almost certainly will for the helmet throw.

For what it's worth, a friend of mine who is a Red Sox fan posted on facebook that Youkilis got owned.

that was for sure a hip toss. he may have been running backwards but he definitely got the advantage

It might have been misguided, but his teammates will love him for it, and he didn't screw around with scrubs, he went after some big guns. It probably makes more sense, because they have a better chance of getting on base anyway.

Definitely. He got hit, he missed on the helmet toss and was thrown to the ground.

That was a hell of an angry charge by Youkilis though. Porcello used Youk's momentum against him, but that was some serious anger there.

Thank god. I can't stand that guy.

What are you watching, Youkalis charged the mound which is an automatic suspension pretty much and he threw a batting helmet which is just a complete cheap shot. He will not only get suspended but of the 2 id imagine he is going to get a longer one. Im glad that Porcello threw Youkalis to the ground too, never cared much for the guy.

Youkilis's will be shorter because Porcello's a pitcher.
