Does that sound much better than playing with Chris Paul, Baron Davis, Steve Nash, or Jason Kidd?

Each player has multiple millions of reasons to pick a team. Chicago has a decent lifestyle for players. That counts for something.

Generally, Chicago would seem to be in the top 5 or 6 markets for free agents based on intangibles.

not much interest in the 2nd half of the Bear's Cardinal's game

Obviously this Bears team isn't going anywhere. That's sad.

Pretty much, as grammar police, I'd say that you don't need the apostrophe in "Cardinal's" because an apostrophe there means that the Cardinals are owning the game. I'll make an exception today because well, the Cardinals ARE owning this game. :crying

Q is the only letter of the alphabet not in any of the names of the 50 states.

Really appreciate that someone caught the use of the apostrophe :headbang and Fox went to the Packer - Buck game. Bye Bye Bears

Still wonder where the bears would be with Urlacher.

tell you what, they would be in a much better place. Both on the field and off

Unfortunate that they don't have a 1st round pick this year.

"Vermiform" is one of my favorite biological terms, referring typically to morphologies that are worm-like in form and/or function. The name for the pasta we call "vermicelli" derives from the same root for obvious reasons.

Why do you always manage to find something Latin to put in here?

Zephyrus, the warm west winds, is a Latinized carryover from the Greek, and that is typical of the few Latin words that begin with z. Proper names like Zeus and Zeno are an exception. As to why I sprinkle the alphabet thread with Latin — I had five years of it in grammar school and high school and use it daily in the biological sciences, so why not spread the joy?

And skipping the letter X? For shame.

Blimey, I skipped Y as well. :lolhitting

I read your post starting with "Why. . . ?", and in my addled mind I translated it as "Y". Bother.

A shame, too, as I have a doozy of an X word ready to roll.

Don't worry. We all forget the alphabet from time to time.
