Hopefully Kotsay hits for Nix who cant hit. Then put LIllicurse out there for the defense.

And he can fumble it and throw it away like he did yesterday. For the love of God, what does Brent Lillibridge have to show the White Sox to prove he's not a major league baseball player?

One thing I've noticed about Kotsay is he's not very selective.

5 runs coughed up the by the pen tonight

I believe it is 1-53...How resilient do you need to be to play .500 in one of the worst divisions in recent memory?

a truly amazing statistic.

btw kotsay has absolutely 0 role on this team once chris getz is back

Hopefully Beckham will get on for our red hot #3 hitter.

For throwing 99 mph Bard sure hasn't missed many bats.

If he could locate his offspeed pitches he'd be amazing.

I am starting to lose confidence in the mental ability of Cuban players as they seem to be fragile which is odd based on the the conditions under which they make it to the U.S.

Is this Campanis posting? Jimmy the Greek?

Yes, we all remember El Duque's fragile mental state with the bases loaded and nobody out in Fenway during the ALDS in '05, or how fragile Jose was that whole season for that matter.

An aging pitcher who has lost his stuff and a shortstop who makes dumb errors from time to time does not indict an entire nation.

yeah gordon was looking dead red there....cuz that hanger had crush me written all over it

Nicely written. Slice of levity, no angst, but still clear and strong. Thank you.

Dye gets to lead of our 9th inning charge against Papleboner. Maybe around the middle of September Ozzie will figure out that its time to move Dye down in the order.

The 2009 Chicago White Sox, where 8 is never enough (last time I said it, it was 7, we're improving!)

Peavy took one off the throwing elbow tonight, but he should be OK, and may pitch Saturday in NY.

On a side note, Sweet Caroline sucks

good for you tony pena

My niece is named Caroline. She's the best.

I'm sure pitchers know they can kick Youk's ass if he charges the mound.

My point was more along the lines that Jose when he was with the Yankees and now as well as Ramirez ability to forget how to play shortstop are odd to me as they have gone through so much mentally to get to the U.S. Then they both simply seem to lose it from time to time wher they appear ot have zero ability to play.

I apologize if I offened any and all Cubans.

not the start the sox were hoping for to kick off this trip, but at least the offense showed some life tonight. Leave Boston with 2 wins, that's all we ask.

Stone "I wish you could cuss too"

LMFAO

Our bullpen should be in good shape for tomorrow. I'm sure Freddy will go deep into the game.

boston fans ohh and ahhh like wrigley fans with sammy on a medium length fly ball for big p****

It looks like Pena is throwing some sort of changeup. He threw a few to Youk that looked great. It sure wasn't his typical hanging slider.

it's a really stupid "tradition" if you ask me. I stood there in the stands and just looked at people like, why?
