Jose's performance against the red sox is basically what punched his ticket out of new york....his first two starts he got lit up like a Xmas tree IIRC....that was a different boston O back then though...not that this one is bad, but they had some ridiculous offensive teams in the middle/early part of this decade

And the two starts in the 2003 playoffs sealed the deal.

By the way, AL umpires, even the Boston homer announcers called PETEY Pedroia out at 3B and admitted Beckham tagged him in the chest...thank god that run didn't score or Hawk would be b****ing all night long.

c'mon Jose, throw strikes.

That was a difficult call though, as it's hard for an ump to see the tag high on the chest and the runner's leg hitting the base at the same time.

These baserunners are going to come back to hurt us soon.

god kevin youkilis is good....this scares me...he's so underappreciated nationally IMO...especially since the boston guys usually get tons of fanfare

He looks like Seinfeld's bookie.

meltdown starts now

uh oh

Contreras looks awful out there. Can't control his fastball, and he doesn't have bite on his offspeed pitches.

Oh Contreras, how you love to give those runs back and labor on the mound.

you're a genius, jose

Better pitch him inside

don't feel good about this at all.

Ozzie better not have a long leash for Jose tonight.

Where the hell was that pitch? The Red Sox are the Duke Blue Devils of baseball apparently.

awesome!! 3-0 to ortiz bases loaded!!!

Meltdown in progress

So lets walk in a run. Good strategy
