You gotta believe my friend-believe believe etc etc

Bad at bat. This game is turning into a predictable heartbreaker for us.

We gotta start scoring!!

No, because we were tied with them a little over a month ago until we went into a several game slide in the period of two weeks, the same can happen to Det especially if we beat the s*** out of them head to head. There is so much time left.

Cmon. Two out rally.

For some reason we have decided to have 2-out hitting now.

This just goes to show that momentum does not carry from one game to another very often.

No, they aren't. If you think they are, then just turn off our TV/radio/gameday and move on to the Bears.

We need a Dye homer here. Wait ... he aint playing.

Amen, dont waste your time watching something hopeless and posting on a message board about it when you could be working, working out, doing something constructive with yourself.

It is true technically, but this team hasn't show any consistency for fire this year that would be necessary to pull of a legendary run like that. We don't rally late, we don't score a lot of runs early, we aren't sure who our fifth starter is, our first starter hasn't won since July, we can't run the bases for s***, and we don't field the ball. I just don't see it happening.

You don't need blind hope in the post season to still watch the games.

You should quit the IT world and become a motivational speaker.

Let's get to .500 first....

Peavy you are way too optimistic compared to me.

Eight in the loss column is ridiculously far ahead of us. We're playing Boston in a four gamer after this. That has 2-2 at best written all over it.

And we're in a battle today and Det. has won, right?

blah blah blah. Bottom line is we're cooked. But I still love the Sox in theory.

That really doesnt need to be a legendary run. Det can lose 9 of ten and we are right back behind them is some of those games are against us.

Exactly. I still can enjoy the game of baseball enough to get something out of these games.

Some people call blind hope "being a fan."

That wasn't intentional.

Unrealistic expectations and hope are not the hallmark of being a fan.

With the big assumption that the team that is immediately in front of us doesn't take advantage as well. Those are all really big "ifs" for a team that has yet to prove it can take care of its own games.
