9/9 PLAYOFFS

You can use a major league player on a rehab assignment in the minor league playoffs? That just seems wrong.

Daisuke Matsuzaka vs Justin Edwards in the Carolina League playoffs.

Winston-Salem vs. Salem

Kannapolis vs. Lakewood

Great Falls vs. Helena

Hahaha dicks. That's pretty hilarious though.

f***ing Boston..

Oh well.. it'll be good for our minor league players to see how they fare against a major league pitcher. Gives them that confidence boost.

The Reds decided to leave Jay Bruce down in AAA, becasuse they had nothing left to play for in the big leagues. Thought that was hilarious.

That's just not fair. KW should send Peavy to Winston-Salem to start game 2 and return the favor.

Our guys in Kannapolis and Winston-Salem need all the good mojo they can get tonight.

I like the Barons and Kanny's chances in a 5 game series. As for the Purple Phallus, well, Loman better hit his ass off this series.

Best of three for Kannapolis.

Would Dice-K even be eligible for the postseason for the Red Sox??? If not, why is he rehabbing for an A ball team in the playoffs unless the Boston organization are just being a$$holes?

When a guy is on the DL, the roster rules change a lot. He'd be eligible if he came off the DL. Occasionally teams use the DL as a way to sneak an extra guy on that they can move on to the roster later.

60 day DL guys are not on the 40 man roster.

I think that qualifies as a "d*** move" by the Red Sox organization.

Doesn't matter. If the player is on the disabled list or bereavement list, he's still postseason eligible. But...they would need to take a man off their 40 man roster to bring him on if they don't have any other openings.

Oh well. It's still a d*** move by the organization. Even Ed Collari said, "it's the Red Sox…what do you expect?"

I'm not disagreeing that it's a D*** move, just saying that he can still appear on the postseason roster if he was on the DL on the 1st.

I know, wasn't debating the postseason roster part. I thought he couldn't though.

What's even worse is I have to listen to Salem's radio broadcast instead of Collari.

Maybe Josh Beckett could work through his issues by pitching for Salem in game 2 or 3?

I sure hope there is such a thing as baseball karma.

If I'm Salem, I wouldn't even want to win that way. It's a complete dick move.

Is there anywhere else that Daisuke could get his innings/work in?

Side session in Boston... just like Peavy is doing for us...

Rather than screwing up the season for minor leaguers who have worked their a** off to get to the playoffs.

Boston, it is after September 1st.

I'm starting to think Peavy needs a rehab start.
