October 15, 200916 yr Cassel got hit a bit, not awful, but he did K 4 in 3 IP. Long got hit around worse.
October 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (JPN366 @ Oct 14, 2009 -> 06:46 PM) That sounds like Omogrosso, but I could be wrong. Long also had an injury prior to the Sox drafting him.
October 15, 200916 yr Author Jav's up 12-7 in the 6th inning. Viciedo 2-3 plus a walk so far. Rasner in pitching the 6th, but not faring well. First 3 guys got hits (a single and two doubles). His fastball is averaging 90-91 and he's struggling to get it over the plate so far. He has also thrown an 82mph changeup and a 80mph slider so far. Edit... Just gave up another double, then threw a wild pitch... yikes. Keep matches away from him today. Rasner yanked after giving up 4 runs in 1/3 of an inning. Not good for the ol' ERA... October 15, 200916 yr Dayan 3-5 with a walk and a homerun. That's what i like to see. It seems like a lot of these pitchers are pretty outmatched.

October 16, 200916 yr Author QUOTE (son of a rude @ Oct 15, 2009 -> 05:57 PM) It seems like a lot of these pitchers are pretty outmatched. It's typically a hitter's league. That's what made Tommy Hanson's performance so impressive last year. (He won the league MVP... first time a pitcher has ever won it in the AFL.)
October 16, 200916 yr QUOTE (1977 sox fan @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 04:05 AM) where can i listen or watch these games on the internet ? MLB.com has gamecasts of the games. For example, here's Game 4. Danks and Viciedo both with 1st inning RBI doubles. Both later scored as well.
October 16, 200916 yr QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 15, 2009 -> 11:20 AM) Long also had an injury prior to the Sox drafting him. Oh, okay. Didn't realize they both had similar histories.

October 17, 200916 yr I read this in another forum. The link was not provided. PEORIA, Ariz. -- Dayan Viciedo became the first Chicago player to homer in this year's Arizona Fall League when he went deep Thursday. The White Sox third base prospect turned on an 0-2 pitch from Astros righty Dan Meszorak and deposited it on the berm well beyond the 385-foot sign in left-center in the Peoria Javelinas' 17-9 romp over the Peoria Saguaros. The homer capped a 3-for-5 day for Viciedo. He also singled twice, walked and scored three runs.
October 17, 200916 yr Author Santos pitched two innings on Friday... 0 runs on 2 hits, with 3 K's and 0 BB's Keep it going Sergio.
October 17, 200916 yr Game 5: Peoria Javelinas vs. Scottsdale Jordan Danks playing RF, batting 2nd C.J. Retherford playing 2B, batting 5th
October 17, 200916 yr Author I find it interesting that the D-Backs have Brandon Allen playing in the AFL.
October 17, 200916 yr QUOTE (scenario @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 02:47 PM) I find it interesting that the D-Backs have Brandon Allen playing in the AFL. Maybe he is hoping Kenny spots him and trades for him...
October 17, 200916 yr C.J. 3-3 so far with a triple, two singles, and two RBI's. Danks 1-3 with two RBI's.
October 17, 200916 yr QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 04:42 PM) CJ is the bomb. Its hard not to love a guy who went undrafted, and just continues to rake in every league he plays in.
October 17, 200916 yr Author Currently a balmy 101 degrees in Phoenix. LOL. Sounds pretty good to me right now after a week of wet 40 degree weather in northern Illinois.

October 18, 200916 yr QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 05:16 PM) Be careful what you wish for...when it's sunny and warm every day you find yourself wishing for some variation...I am actually watching the football games in the midwest longing for Fall weather... If these last few weeks up here are considered variation, give me some boredom anytime.
