Geez, you guys are quick to give up the ship on players...I guess when Buehrle was 2-10, everyone was yelling, "Get rid of him...he is awful!!" I don't hear people saying the same about White....he is garbage, at least Koch has the possibility of getting back to Koch form...I swear the guy has a dead arm, and won't tell anyone...seems like the coaching staff could figure it out...almost 100 IP last year, Beane wears em out, then trades em away...and there are dicksmokes like KW there ready to take on the trades.

I have no confidence in that at all, nor do I beleive we should pay him 6 million next year to take that chance. I would rather put that 6 million into a better shortstop or try to keep colon or get another starter. Sorry Koch ahs proven nothing to me this year, and if he has a dead arm its the longest streak of dead arm I have ever seen. (ALL YEAR)

July 27, 200322 yr a lot of Sox fans have short memories for most guys and long memories for others. we snapped our eight game winning streak, so we now suck. White, who has been solid over the past month and a half, now sucks. Porzio, who was did his job in his first two starts, now sucks Manuel, who really didn't do anything wrong this game, sucks Koch, who although has been terrible this year, has had a good career overall, now sucks

He really looks like he is compassionate about pitching for us.
July 27, 200322 yr I was actually feeling sorry for Koch when he had the bags loaded with no outs. But just one run scored. He is not the same pitcher he used to be. He got took old, it looks like.

Of course it didnt matter, it just doesnt really help the teams morale knowing everytime Koch comes in they will have to score one more run. He will be gone by the 31st, guaranteed.

July 27, 200322 yr I say that someone shoulda checked the guy out 1st...1)It was KW dealing with Beane, so something is up automatically...2)Its KW, he shoulda known to check Kochs overuse from last year...I still think he can get it back, but someone has to diagnose the problem correctly..

July 27, 200322 yr Hmm Ginter used to keep us in games. Too bad he's a reliever. Why not use bring up, say, Diaz and let him work out of the pen on his usual starting date, and try to milk 5 out of him his first start.
July 27, 200322 yr ok, I think that is sound, but I still have no confidence he will come back this year, therefore we are paying a guy 4.5 million and 6 next year. If something is wrong, lets say he has surgery at the end of this year. wasted money... My point is I don't think he will come back for whatever reason... doesn't matter what the reason is. He is not worth the money, therefore costing us payroll to use on other players. I would love to cut my loses now, but no body will take this guy and his salary. So we are stuck. Stcik with him if you want, but I and apparently the whitesox do not want this guy closing games. He is in a season long slump. Not a two week slump.
