No, I mean, it's an actual dog. It has a seat.

oh haha, I was going to say that'd be really good eye sight catching a hot dog.

This is the first time the Red Sox have opened a stadium since 1923. That was Yankee Stadium.

Twins were wise to lock up Span

Hudson with the Twins first hit.

Mauer with his first standing O.

i guess lester didn't get the memo from ESPN that he walks on water

This is funny how many balls are being taken off the field to go to Cooperstown, or the Twins museum, or wherever else.

Joe Mauer with the first out for the Twins at Target Field. More trivia.

mauer looks like his mom still cuts his hair

twins once again with the best CF camera angle in the league. Why can't more teams go to this angle? It's night and day watching pitches from this angle.

3 of the 4 umpires are from Minnesota. Interesting.

these new home uni's are exactly like the old sox unis

It bothers me that there are no numbers on the front.

Jon Lester sucks. Come on douche bag. I want a BoSox sweep.

Are they new or throwbacks? They seem to have a yellow tint to them which is usually a tell-tale sign of throwback jerseys.

If D1 had come up in Boston and Lester had come up in Chicago, every one of those guys who predicted Lester would win the Cy Young award this year would have predicted D1 would win it instead. Maybe even more people than that.

good point, could be.

I give it to June til Hudson is on the DL. supposedly his wrist is very fragile.

Why do people pitch to Mauer? Seriously. I mean I know Morneau isn't any better, but I'd take my chances than pitch to one of, if not, the best hitter in the game. (dude hit .365 last year.. c'mon)

They were incredibly similar pitchers in 08. 09 was different though...

They are alternates. Their main home uniform is just like their old one.

Balta smiles as the ESPN announcer marvels at the "450 million year old" age of the MN limestone used to make a large wall in LF.

For some reason, this park seems gigantic. It must be the camera angles or something. The gaps seem incredibly deep.

I have a chunk of green limestone from the southern reaches of the Canadian Shield, spent some time in the BWCA/Quetico area, north of the Laurentian Divide. Some of the oldest exposed bedrock on the planet, and its loaded will all sorts of goodies. You'd love it up there.

Delmon Young sucks at defense.
