March 20, 201016 yr I recently moved down to Arkansas (shudder) for work, and the have me stationed in Fayetteville. First thing I did when I got here was check out the baseball schedule, and caught a game against Troy. The Razorbacks are #15th in the country and it's always good to see some quality baseball played. I've got to say, their complex here is QUITE impressive. And their fans are very passionate. I hope I'll be able to make it out for a number of games down here, seeing that they'll play a number of great teams. While U of I baseball games are fun (for the 40 people in attendance), southern schools now how to do college baseball the right way. Gotta love that *ping*!

Baseball is huge in the SEC, especially in the SEC West.

Yeah I go to this indoor rock climbing place just off campus all the time but Im always in awe of their baseball facilities. Especially compared to the SIU ballpark lol.
March 22, 201016 yr ASU now #1 (not BA...but ESPN/USA). Start off 20-0 and one game short of the all-time mark of 21-0. Good start for Esmay taking over for Murphy. If Esmay has ANY recruiting talent whatsoever (Murphy's strong suit) ASU will not miss a beat. And this all coming without Josh Spence still not pitching one inning yet due to arm trouble. (Wonder if he now wishes he would have signed with the Halos last year)...

March 28, 201016 yr Nothing like blowing a 6-1 lead with 2 outs and no one on in the bottom of the 9th last night to lose 7-6 in extra innings haha. Only in college baseball... Luckily Miami came back to win 4-0 today at NCST.

March 29, 201016 yr CSF is super talented. They are young but have plenty of returning youngsters. They flat out just aren't playing right. As hawk would say, they are playing tight.

March 31, 201016 yr Mizzou just beat Purdue 22-14 to move to 14-8. Yes, 22-14. There were 11 errors in the game (8 by Purdue) and 10 HR (5 by each team). Purdue scored 5 in the top of the first gave up 5 right back in the bottom half and trailed 21-6 after 5 innings.
April 6, 201015 yr Yes, Fullerton opened up BigWest play with a sweep. They put up 20+ in 2 of the 3 games and climbed to a season high 4 games over .500. WHOOOO. Maybe they've woken up.

I wanted to pull the trigger since UCLA just had their unbeaten streak snapped and thought this game was a huge game for CSF. Two good teams plus midweek starters make it a coin flip. Wish I had bigger nuts haha. I'm hoping they have gotten there "mojo" back. Every time they lost, I think it just piled onto there backs since they had such high expectations. Now I'm thinking they are playing loose and easy baseball now that they opened conference play (albeit, UCLA was an Out of Conference opponent). Hopefully they have a strong weekend series at top 25 UCI (top 15 up until a week ago). 12-4 in their last 16 games; 13-5 in their last 18 games; 9-2 in their last 11 games. I'm going to try and hit up at least one of those games.
April 12, 201015 yr Titans did well this weekend, taking 2 out of 3 at UCI. Record improves to 18-12. Hopefully they keep this up. Pitching seems to be figuring itself out and the offense has heated up. Titans lost the opening game on a walk-off. They re-enter BA's polls today at #22 in the country. I'm hoping they will continue to climb as the season progresses and when the post-season is done they will stand alone as National Champs!!!
April 19, 201015 yr Miami sweeps UNC this weekend. UNC is pretty bad this year but a sweep is a sweep. 14-4 in ACC play but not one of Miami's opponents have a winning ACC record. This weekend is at FSU so let the fun begin. I expect a series loss but will be pissed if we are swept.

April 27, 201015 yr Either team couldve swept the series this weekend. If FSU doesnt strand so many runners on Friday they sweep. If Miami didnt strand so many during the weekend they wouldve swept. If either team makes it to Omaha then I'll be surprised. Then again after watching all the Florida teams this year and they all have been in the top 15 throughout, I guess college baseball is down a lot this year.
April 28, 201015 yr Fullerton had there biggest comeback of the season today and swept Cal Poly over the weekend. Seems like they are getting better and they should get their top starting pitcher back at one point.
April 28, 201015 yr Also, very cool to see Oregon in the rankings for the 2nd straight week and only the 2nd time in their programs history (1st was a week ago). I'm glad our former coach is having a lot of success there.
May 4, 201015 yr Heading to the Mizzou/Mo State game tonight. I'm a season ticket holder of the Tigers... Not gonna be easy in a few years watching Mizzou products Scherzer(Detroit), Gibson(Minnesota) and Crow(KC) pitching for the enemy. They are all electric if they reach their potential.
May 7, 201015 yr I'm very excited seeing what Dan Spencer has done at Texas Tech. Good shot at 2nd place in the Big 12 behind Texas with a demolished pitching staff and two freshman leading the offense. It's great having an alma-mater guy in charge of your program when your program actually shows great promise. Tech finished an epic series with Mizzou last week, that was fun to watch on my side, especially the last game :-).

May 11, 201015 yr Titans finished off the sweep against UCR. Big West is weak, but Fullerton is coming on strong. I'm hoping they stay hot and a couple other top 10 teams falter, giving the Titans at least a shot at one of the 8 national seeds. Come on Titans!!!
