We scored 724 runs last year, and literally made no obvious offensive improvements. No suprises here.

There's middleground here. Yes the offense isn't a top-5 or even top-10 offense in the MLB, but they aren't going to finish with bottom-5 or bottom-10 numbers when the season ends, you can put that on the board. Enough with the hyperbole, my god it's annoying

it's just soooo easy to fall in love with this team on paper each pre-season, and scoff at what places like baseball prospectus almost always seem to call pretty accurately. it doesn't take long then to come to grips with the multitude of question marks that turn out NOT to have the career year needed for the miracle to take place
