Our starting pitching has done pretty well. Going into today the 4 had pitched 24 innings and only gave up 6 runs. Compared to the bullpen's 16 innings and 8 runs.

 

Starters have a 2.25 ERA coming into this game. The relievers coming into this game have a 3.00 ERA for a total of a 2.50 ERA for the team. Even with Linebrink taking a dump on field when he came out there, the pen and the pitching is hardly the issue.

Pierre is a far better defensive OF than Pods is. They both have noodle arms, but Pierre is better in all other respects.

Probably why he has looked so good, if his fastball has any velocity whatsoever he's a pretty good pitcher. It's when his arm is half dead that he has to be all cunning and guile with his arsenal of junkballz
