Well here is the lefty lefty thing... Please try not to walk him

Yeah, right...

Sheesh. This guy has ZERO value on our roster.

Well, he isn't very good with runners on base, but at least he isn't any good with bases empty either.

Oh god Ozzie, forget lefty-lefty, bring in Santos or Pena.

Williams threw 1 strike to Cano. His 15th walk on the year, in 19 innings. What a joke

You can't keep pitching a lefty specialist that walks so many guys. It is just an unproductive result far too often.

Comes right in and walks him...i mean...whats to say thats constructive? Don't walk guys you're brought in to get out...

He can't even find his arm slot anymore.

He'll at least allow 1 run to score this inning since almost every inherited runner he gets ultimately scores. Not a good stat for a reliever.

these pitches aren't even close

Why is Randy in there - in a game that we are winning - pitching to a righty batter?

Sheesh. This guy has ZERO value on our roster.

Good thing we went lefty lefty there as that matchup always works so well...........NOT

Geez, you'd think that after a few seasons of OVER MANAGING these decisions he'd stop it??? I mean, he has to be the worst guy in our pen- total joke

My biggest pet peeve with the use of our bullpen this season has been we pitch our worst reliever (by far) more than anyone else. We're really babying Santos, it seems.

I'd rather have John Williams pitch. His music when he walks to the mound would be epic

Darin Jackson just said it too...and he's completely clueless about everything. You can't have your lefty "specialists" come in and continually walk guys...how long must this go on?

Finally, someone on the professional level and INSIDE the Sox organization admitting Randy Williams ISN'T LONG FOR THE BIG LEAGUES.

Bout f***ing time somebody said it. We all knew it, it's good to finally hear them admit it

btw it was DJ that said it

Posada is a switch hitter.

Ozzie is afraid of the short porch in right field, guaranteed!

How was that not a strike?!

Wow, that was right down the plate!!!!!

that was a strike

I welcome CONSTRUCTIVE criticism and discussion. It doesn't have to be all shiny happy people in here. Trust me, I throw s*** and swear at my tv all the time. But some people need to learn to take deep breaths. This place has the emotional stability of a pregnant woman on a roller coaster sometimes.

Which is no different from how KW has acted until he's made a concerted effort his year NOT to get upset and live and die with wins and losses on a daily basis.

Except we NEED him to be that post-game buffet overturning lunatic again, as long as he thinks rationally when he calms down and makes good moves.

Abraham Lincoln wanted to fire almost every general that led the Army of the Potomac until Sherman and Grant came along...he would write 100's and 100's of letters tearing their predecessors apart and relieving them of command, then throw them all in the fire. The only difference in 2010 is that we put our immediate reactions into cyberspace instead of taking a deep breath and step back.

I've been upset twice since 2004, the game where I woke up and we blew the big lead late (against KC) in Sept. 2005 and the Jenks/Carlos Gomez series sweep towards the end of 2008 where it looked inevitable the season would get away. That last week of baseball was probably the most interesting I've ever seen, except for 05, because expectations were so high that year with the lead almost the entire year, running away until the Indians showed up in the 2nd half.

Why is Williams leading in appearances? And he's in a lot of close games to boot.
