It sort of does. Taking Pierre out of the lead off spot, only to replace him with Omar Vizquel and Mark Kotsay.

 

It honestly seems like Ozzie is trying to get fired.

We lost with A-ram leading off, won with Vizquel leading off, and Rios isn't even with the club right now. Can we take 3-4 steps away from the ledge or are we all jumping off at this point?

I'd rather Kotsay lead off than Ramirez, as Alexei isn't a long-term solution.

I see nobody jumping off the ledge in this thread. And having won a single game with Vizquel leading off hardly justifies having the man in a starting role, let alone at the top of the order.

No, but we know he won't be starting all too often for the Sox, so that would require Ozzie to use someone like Rios maybe.

Correct. Singled up the middle on his first at bat (ground ball that Cano couldn't handle), moved to 2nd on a wild pitch, stranded at 2b.

He hit a ball up the middle-ish towards second that had a lot of topspin on it. Cano got his glove on it but couldn't hold it. Official scorer ruled it a hit, apparently.
