I had no idea how dominate Contreras has been as a reliever with the Phils.

That's good to know. I will always love Jose.

Game slipping away fast. All these mistakes were bound to catch up with Gavin.

game.set.match.

no momentum.

Let the b****ing start.

There's your ballgame.

4-1 just like that. Throwing batting practice this inning, as that slider isn't really moving.

Maybe someone can tweet Ozzie to let him know its time to get the pen up.

"Momentum is the Royals bullpen." - Me, just now.

Haha, and now Santos starts warming up.

Ok, previous statement retracted.

Ahh s***...I had to go and jinx Gavin.

Let's hold them here and actually score some runs.

6-1....terrible game all around. Gavin's slider is garbage.

Time to watch Lost. Ozzie is just leaving Gavin in to die right now. Someone might want to wake him up.

Fack. It's games like this where it sucks to be watching on the intrawebs.

Is that different than what you're watching now?

Gavin had nothing from the start. It was just a matter of time.

See, I disagree. I'd rather not have to watch this and just follow it online instead of being tempted to watch the game.

Outside of Danks, the SP has been a big disappointment so far.

anyone else feel like the royals are simply a better team? i'm not just basing it on tonight either, they have a pretty solid lineup compared to the sox.

Well, maybe so...but it is a bit frustrating when the other team scores 4 runs faster than you're damn GameTracker can refresh. Somehow when you are watching on tv you feel like you have more control over things...

Their lineup sucks!! Their bottom 4 hitters are awful. Their middle relief sucks. Their starting pitching isn't much worse than ours though. I'd take Pods over Pierre in a heartbeat though.

This is an example on how pitch counts dont dictate when you pull a guy. Gavin pretty much on the ropes early in the game and threw a lot of stress filed pitches. Once he got to the 5th you consider it a job well done. Letting him flail in the wind at the end was pointless.

Edited by southsideirish71

At some point the pitching just has no chance to win because they are unable to make one mistake.

How many 4+ run innings have they given up compared to how many times they have scored more than 2 in an inning. Close games go to hell rather quickly.
