Thats a bomb...

Affeldt I think is the one having blister problems. He's been roughed up lately with the bats.

I want Jon to at least go 4 or 5.  I think he can still settle down.  He needs to be aggressive with his sinker still and stop getting 2-0 counts.

Yeah, I dont want to kill the pen. Thats why I said Schoeney would gain a lotta respect if he went a good ways and saved that from happening...

Hopefully, the Sox do not start any premature celebrations just yet...the next inning is the key...Jon needs to get out of the inning unscathed quickly

Top of 3rd:

Lee- HR to LF

Thomas- HBP

Maggs- walk

Everett- single to RF

Konerko- Sac Fly to RF

Thomas scores, Maggs to 3rd

Valentin- 3-run HR

Crede- Lines out to CF

Olivo- single to CF

Jeremy Affedlt replaces Runelvys Hernandez

Alomar- ground out to 2B

6-4 good guys going into bottom of 3rd. Come on Jon! :headbang

Garland's only thrown 39 pitches I have no problem with him staying out there as long as he's on a short leash.

Hawk voice: "I luuuuuuuuvvvvvv crooked numbers"

Did anyone see Bonds' HR in batting practice today? It went an estimated 550 ft. It broke someone's window across the street.

One of our posters said that this would be a tight game.

Good inning Jon!!

Nice....very good job by Garland....and more importantly, shutting them down after getting the lead, something our pitchers used to have trouble doing.

I wouldnt mind if Jose has a game like Bill Mueller's from yesterday. :whip

And most of you were giving up after 2 innings? :nono

Bottom of 3rd:

Ibanez- pop up to SS

Harvey- ground out to 3B

Relaford- ground out to 1st

6-4 good guys going into top of 4th

That's Nicholson from Cookoo's Nest

He'll go 5 and then Scho will come in.

Way to go Jon! :headbang

"so it shall be said, so it shall be done"

Good job Jon....if we can get 3 more innings, we will be fine

Hopefully, we add some more runs to let him attack while pitching
