The Hawks have got to pick up the effort. They look happy to be here instead of determined to win.

Not a surprise since that's what they've been saying.

Canucks definitely looking like the better & more agressive team.

Whatever happens, let's not forget that in 2010 the Canucks won game 1 at the UC 5-1 and in 2009 won the opener 5-3 up in Vancouver.

The way the Hawks look now is they are on a permanent PK...they just look horrible out there. Van is just out working them.

i couldnt believe how many local guys picked the hawks to win in 7....well be lucky to push this thing to a 6th game

Hawks outplaying em here in the second. Need a bounce for christ sake. Luongo'ss been good, but if Campbell lifts the puck 6 inches instead of slideing it on the ice...the Hawks are right in this. Also, what's with Vancouver leaving their feet for like every check.

Just like every other series, Van starts out hot and the Hawks take the momentum back even with a loss to show for it. Take this and win the next one to bring it home.

Vancouver just beat up the Hawks last night, and we never really punched back. They have got to show up this next game.

It wasn't pretty watching the Hawks not only get hit, but also play like they're afraid to get hit. However, they took it and were the better team in the next 2 periods. Dam if Campbell just puts the puck in the net on that sweet feed from Kane with a minute left in the first, it could have been a different game. A lot of bounces went against the Hawks last night, so hopefully fortunes turn Friday. Crawford looked up to the task. I thought Campbell had a terrible first period and was directly responsible for a goal on that stupid backwards pass and a missed goal. It was also his guy that scored on that tip goal, but I can't totally fault himfor that.

Keith looked terrible as well...

Kind of the status quo for much of the season. I don't know if he got worn out last season or what, but he's definitely looked nothing like a Norris Trophy winner.

I would say after the first 20 minutes, the Hawks punched back. The passing was ugly though, not very crisp.

Keith/Seabs have been brutal this year. Seabrook has actually been extremely suspect on D.

Yeah...not sure what happened to the guy. He's too dam casual with the puck, he gets outworked on the boards and his passes are off the mark more than they're on.

We miss the attitudes greatly of Burish, Buff, Eager, Sopel and Ladd. This team is all soft players. We really have no one besides Scott who is just willing to lay it down. We really miss that toughness that those players brought last year.

Seabs looked good last night actually.

I don't really have anything to say. Lots of saves, decent luck for Luongo. The key is getting past the first 10 minutes in a road playoff game tied. The Hawks failed to do that. Hopefully they start better next time.

I think after the 3rd goal post hit i chalked it up to bad luck for the hawks. That kane louongo butt shot was too close and the frolik shot gave me the pucker factor.

I'm not discouraged. Of the only two periods Versus allowed me to watch (2nd and 3rd), the Hawks looked like the better team, but was just unlucky. Could have easily had 3 or 4 games. I'm not demoralized yet.

Let's not forget the Canucks rang the post twice on good scoring opportunities. We didn't lose because of bad luck.

And Crawford played out of his ass for long periods of time as well.

They didn't lose because of bad luck.. just bad play.

And Vancouver pretty much went into prevent mode in the 3rd.

Sounds like Kopecky got hurt and is out for game 2. I assume Pisani will take his place, although the old-time hockey fans will all be clamoring for John Scott cause the team needs to get tougher.

Lets get it done tonight!!!

Hawks have nothing working. They can't complete a pass to save their lives.

Hawks are being outplayed in every way... they are in deep s*** now.
