Why on either? If you guys like Nix the person then he'll have a much better shot over there than he would have had here. No way was he going to come back and leapfrog Omar and probably not Viciedo either.

Nix has talent. He's a really good defensive 2B and given the correct at bats, can be a pretty decent hitter. You don't want to just give that away, especially not to the Indians.

Good luck to him. He left with class and I am sure he gave the Sox his best effort. I was hoping he might be passed over and then be at Charlotte ready if we needed him later.

IMO, the bigger problem is giving him up with Beckham on the verge of being sent down and Teahen on the DL. They DFA'd him too early.

Lillibridge and Viciedo are up right now. Teahen will also be back in a couple weeks. If Beckham is sent down Viciedo becomes your every day 3B for at least a little while.
