50 pitches? Wow. Didn't seem like that man.

He may only go 5-plus today maximum.

Is Pena the long relief guy today?

Peavy's already at 50 pitches. Damn

Yeah, pitching well but this may only be a 6 inning start

If Jake goes 6, it'll be fine.

The strikeouts bumped up his total, there hasn't really been one good swing on him yet. I would assume Peña with the 4 run margin. Any more and maybe we can see Randy and Scott.

A few more runs would be nice in case the bullpen falters a bit.

Anyone catch what Z had to say in the dugout?

I was just really hoping to see 15+ strikeouts. 22 sounds nice as well.

I didn't hear it, but I have a good idea.

A hate to be rude but Gorzelanny's Gameday photo makes him look...um...a little slow.

Stoney gave Hawk a long look there thinking Hawk was going to support Zambrano for that meltdown.

Hawk wisely said he made his "all derrierre team" for that meltdown.

Damn Gorzellani is looking good.

I keep waiting for Marlon Byrd to run into someone.

On that last replay you could hear but I wasnt able to make words out of it.

Gorzelanny mowing Sox down now.

Me too, Heads. The Cubs aren't off to a good start. It looked awkward in the outfield on a couple fly balls already.

Hope we can have the killer instinct and win.

dadgummit!

Why the hell is Zambrano starting when Gorzelanny's been one of the Cubs' best starters?

That was quick.

Two innings for Gorzelanny, 16 pitches. Maybe we wont burn the bullpen out...

At this rate they won't use anyone else out of their pen today. :/

I don't know, CHW, but I'm glad we have four runs. Gorz looks very good.

Maybe we'll have better luck the 2nd time through the lineup.

You can't be serious. You don't yank your starters this early just because a lefty is in.

That is not common sense at all. It is ridiculous.

Your starter is Mark Kotsay.

That'll help the pitch count.

Replay shows Lee had no chance of catching Piere's line drive double.

I don't think Zambrano went after Lee initially but when Lee told him to STFU (He's clearly saying that to Carlos on the replay), Zambrano then turned his rage toward Lee. I'm with Stoney, that'd been a good fight between those two.
