Hopefulyl it means Kotsay is just gone entirely, with Teahen rotating through RF, DH and maybe the corners to get his LH bat in the lineup regularly. Jones as the true backup OF, Lillibridge the equivalent IF. That's the ideal. We'll see if that is what they do.

I don't think Kotsay is going to be gone, just because it keeps them having a backup 1b.

 

If the Dodgers do wait until Tuesday...the Sox will only have to clear a roster spot for 1 day before the rosters expand.

Ozzie is the antithesis of a love him or hate him guy. Go on any other boards and you will find people who hate the living s*** out of him, or thinks he's great for baseball cause of his antics. Some fans bases hate him a bit more (Detroit, Cleveland, LA for example) than others.

it's highly unlikely because it cant be anyone on our 40 man roster unless they've already cleared waivers. as for you saying please be true idk why you wouldnt want ramirez over kotsay/jones

Which is exactly what Manny would be, especially if he helps us win, as Ozzie has. I personally have had enough of talent-challenged nice guys at DH.

 

If Manny somehow ends up here and somehow helps us win it all, he will be described by everyone in far more flattering terms. Otherwise, KW said ot best: "We can put up with any one for 30 days."

 

I personally hope he's our problem for about sixty days.
