Sox @ Twins, Thursday, 8/19, M56 v The Stache

I really hope Rios has an actual injury, and hasn't just hit the wall. He's not coming close to getting the bat through the zone quickly, and hasn't for over a month.

Funny thing about that 2004 game was Johan started for the Twins.

I thought he was hitting the ball hard again about 2 weeks ago. I seem to remember him hitting a few doubles into left...

And we had 2 errors.....looks like we were kicking the ball around back then too!

I remember Miguel Olivo had a big homer in the game....maybe even 2? not so sure about that.

He had a good game yesterday.

I'll say this, he spoiled us with his line drive ability the first 3 months of the season. As consistent of a line drive hitter as I had ever seen.

We did get to Johan a few select times...I seem to remember a Garland-Santana matchup in Minny where we got Johan for 5 or 6 in the first few innings...seems like it was 2003 or so...

I guarantee people were on some message board after the bottom of the 1st saying that game was over (I wasn't on a message board yet...thankfully)

Was that when Frank unloaded on him?

I hate Cuddyer

Looks like the Twins are starting to change their approach up there a bit now. Last two balls in play have been liners.

is kotsay a worse outfielder than Teahan? i thought his value was that he could at least play multiple positions (except DH)

Whew, Gordon bailed out Alexei!

He's too slow to play the outfield now. Teahen actually looked pretty quick on Cuddyer's double. I've said this before, but I think management didn't evaluate Kotsay's ability to play the outfield well last season. They thought he could do it....but can't

He can't anymore.

PK!

I dunno...I've seen so many games over the years I never remember them in full....too much booze...I just remember snippets from time to time...or maybe that is my brain protecting me from all the trauma...

That was the first inning they had any kind of a threat on Buehrle. Must get more runs to put game out of contention. Three here would be very nice. I think 7 runs is about the threshold where I would feel comfortable against the Twins team.

Two more runs!

I have an amazing memory about sports stuff....and since I'm a fan of the White Sox and Georgia Tech athletics, that's really not a good thing.

Who is this new team b**** slapping the Minnesota Twins around like this?

Carlos Lee had 6 RBI that day and went 4-5.

He's good in the clubhouse. He's a translator for our white players
