My buddy in FCW gets to go backstage a lot at the big shows and he says it is sad to see these 20-something writers who have no clue about wrestling, tell guys like Arn Anderson and Ricky Steamboat what they want to happen.

It's always been my belief that you have ONE guy, maybe two that take care of the booking.

 

A writing team wouldn't be horrible, if only they knew how to write. It seems they just make up s*** as they go.

 

I think you should book your shows in 3-4 month spans...or in the E's case, around the big 4 PPV's. (i.e. after the Rumble, you set up your WM angles and have them build from there.) The one thing they're missing these days is the slow build.

So my brother has been working backstage for three shows (This past Monday Raw, and the next two smackdowns) he hasnt gotten to do anything yet but he has met a lot of the people back stage.. he said Orton shrugged him off when he introduced himself and CM Punk was kind of a prick..

 

Of course, Maryse is hott as s*** in person and he said Kelly Kelly is like 5'4 and short as hell.. also met Undertaker today as well..

Impact's ratings finally saw an increase this week, up to 1.22 from 1.06 the previous week.

It seems maybe people are somewhat interested in the ECW angle.

So I watched the TNA version of One Night Stand....

 

As someone who grew up watching ECW, this was just sad. Not shabby for nostalgia reasons, but just not a good show. I really hope a lot of these guys aren't still wrestling full-time.

Just judging by the recaps I read, it sounded pretty lackluster.

I think most of the ECW alums are too beat up and old to put on a good show anymore.

Good to see Joel Gertner managing the Dudleyz again for one night, though. I always liked him.

Meant to post this last Monday, but I can't believe that guy from I Love New York (aka Jennifer Hudson's fiancee) is a wrestler now. I think his name was Punk. Might still be as a wrestler name, but found that hilarious.

Yeah you were right the first time his name was Punk.. I remember when I first heard that he signed with wwe and I thought there was no way hed make it, but he just might..

I'm hoping the partner in the Nexus match for Team WWE is HHH ane he turns and leads Nexus for awhile. I think Barrett does a good job but they need an established guy to keep them hot IMO.

honestly, i have a hard time believing they could switch Sheamus to babyface over HHH's heel. The crowds love HHH, he could be the biggest dick in the world to the biggest babyface on the show and they will still pop for him. Plus, Sheamus isnt a very likable character as it is, switching him to babyface would really take a long work, and i dont think the WWE writers have a long enough attention span to put that plan in motion and see it through

the whole recent DX angle where they were just funny guys instead of the old school DX has pretty much made HHH untouchable in terms of turning anything but face.. he could be the biggest dick in the world out there and the fans would LOL all the way home..
