Can you sing?

Featured Replies

More specifically, can you sing and sound like any actual singers?

I noticed the other day that one of my friends does a spot-on Jay-Z, while another guy I know does a pretty good Johnny Cash.

I can do a really good Bob Seger, and occasionally Elvis if my voice is right.

Anyone else?

I do absolutely stunning impersonations of Chris Cornell and Steve Perry.

I do a spot-on impersonation of Roseanne Barr's national anthem.

Unfortunately, every song I sing sounds like Roseanne Barr's national anthem.

No. This obsession with singing has to stop.

Who the f*** doesn't sing? I mean in the shower, in the car, when you're drunk, etc. I'm not talking about going on American Idol.

I sing Journey and Queen songs quite a bit. I still have the college voice training.

I can do am impersonation of Ozzie Osbourne singing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" just like he did when he sang it on TV at Wrigley! All you have yo do is not know any of the words, slurr, mumble, and see Steve Stone in the background looking at you with a much bewildered look like your half crocked, and then when all is said and done, yell out...."Let's get some runs!"

"Lesh-geh-shum-runshs

"Ozzie at Wrigley

I have absolutely NO singing ability.

I do a decent Bob Dylan impression. Or at least it cracks me up.

Otherwise I love to sing, but lack any real skills. I also have the horrible habit of someone who lives alone of singing constantly to myself. I've caught myself doing it in public a few times, much to my chagrin. So, yes, I am that crazy lady that sings softly to herself in an offkey and generally awful way.

I can imitate most singers I listen to a lot, the high pitched ones like Bruce Dickinson & Steve Perry strain me to no end though.

My bests are Axl Rose, Billy Joel, and Andre 3000.

Unfortunately, very few musicians outside opera/classical sing in my range (bass/baritone), so I can't sound like any of them. Well, except that guy from the Crash Test Dummies - I can do their songs pretty spot on.

That's basically what I was getting at.

Haha, that's a band I haven't heard in awhile... "Mmmmmm...."

I can sing well. I don't do impressions, though.
