Rally to Restore Sanity

Featured Replies

Gonna be on Comedy Central.

Will check in on it from time to time to see what is going on.

I'm a Stewart/Colbert fan so will get a kick out of it.

Random note: 11 isn't the afternoon. ;-).

In all seriousness though, with this scheduled on the guide to go from 11 am to 2 pm tomorrow, there is absolutely zero chance I'll be watching it with NIU, Illinois, and Northwestern all playing on television in that time window. I'll definitely have it recording though, and will look forward to watching it later.

word...go mizzou.

I was gonna head to the Chicago satellite rally, but couldn't get any friends to go with.

Oh well, watching it right now.

Yeah, so I'll be watching the whole thing.

I thought about going, but I had to pick my weekend trips in October, and I had the Smokies planned before they even announced this rally.

I really hope someone contracted out for a satellite photo of rally size.

My left kidney in exchange for John Legend performing "Nutmeg".

Mythbusters? Seriously?

Ok, I want to test the myth that blowing up a stage in front of 50,000 people can be done safely.

Huh, the Mythbusters are there.

I laughed when they said "Hello" and the announcer said "Hello!"

They are testing the wave. When 2 waves collide...explosion?

Can we get a quantized standing wave? I want energy levels!

By the way, that wave legitimately looked cool on camera.

150,000 person wave does indeed look cool.

"Birthers for Hawaii statehood"

"Birthers for Hawaii statehood"

"We will not protest"

"I fear Colbert will not run for President"

Where are Stewart and Colbert?

"I doubt this sign will change your opinion".

They do have 3 hours to fill here...

I really want to know the magnitude of this.

That looked really cool.

Stewart sighting!

I'm not seeing any sort of advertising or sponsors.

Reese's had a banner on the bottom of the TV screen earlier.

I immediately reached down and ate a reese's from the candy bowl.

Sarcasm?

Cause if not, Reeses and Volkswagen have both popped up for like 3 seconds each.

Didn't catch those. I'm just surprised there aren't big ads or banners at the rally itself.

If I did the math right and the guy wasn't lying when he said "14 million" (and he didn't mean 10^14), that jump was a similar energy release to a magnitude 2.5 quake.

LOL @ the Fear Bunker.

he said 14 trillion times less, so 8 orders of magnitude below the 1905 quake, not 6.
