My guess is Philadelphia.

Juneau Mooseknuckles.

Just saw this note about Cliff Lee in the Trib...

Nationals to make huge offer to Cliff Lee

The Nationals may be on the verge on making Cliff Lee, the top free agent pitcher on the market, a huge offer, according to various media reports. The Rangers and Yankees are believed to be the front-runners for the left-handed starter, but the Nationals may become players with a jaw-dropping seven-year offer. They've already stunned the industry by striking a seven-year, $126-million deal with free agent outfielder Jayson Werth.

It's the Nationals.

Heyman reported twice that it is not NATS who offered the 7/20-25 a year.

This whole time I thought this thread was about Derek Lee not Cliff.

Man if they sign Werth and Lee, that'd turn this friggin' league upside down.

Whoever goes 7 years at over $20 million per for Cliff Lee will regret it a lot sooner after he signed the contract than when it will expire.

I'm trying to understand why anyone would go over like 4 years for Lee. He's 32 and someone correct me if I'm wrong, hasn't he had back issues?

Because if the Yankees get 2-3 good years out of him and win 1-2 titles, they don't care about the last 4 years, and they'll write that loss off. Therefore, any team that wants him needs to beat that.
