Anybody in Austin?

I'm gonna get the mlb.tv package but I'd like to catch some games with Sox fans. I know the Warehouse pool hall is gonna have all the games, but that's all I got on my radar so far. Hit me up!

If you got the mlb.tv package, then why do you want to go to a place that already has it to watch the games?

Sure seems pretty darn self explanatory.

Some people enjoy watching the game with a couple other fans, even if they don't know them too well.

Yea, I'd like to sit in dead silence with another sox fan, is that weird?

I wish I were in Austin. Great town.

Ok, fine, read it the other way. If you are going out to a local place to watch games w/ people, then why bother paying to have it at your house if you are going to watch it elsewhere? I'm suggesting not getting mlb.tv package, not suggesting he shouldn't go out to local places and watch.

WTF, you're really giving him s*** about wanting to hang out with other Sox fans in his area?

Wow, first calm down, I'm not giving anyone s***.

And 2nd, brush up on your reading comprehension skills before you flip out. I feel like I'm talking to a wall.

Joe, I feel like you're the wall that walked into my thread. I don't want to watch every game with sox fans so I'm getting MLB.tv regardless. Sometimes ya gotta kick back at yer place and watch some baseball, wallboy.

It's your money, not mine.

So essentially you are saying if someone does not watch one game out of 162 from their provider/source they are fools. That's just inane.

So, joe, when you end up missing one game this season... and remember just one, you will be a fool just like the rest of the world. Hell, you better not even miss a pitch, think about it, in the long run you will be missing out on 1/12th of a penny.

I don't understand what you don't get. The guy has the package so that he can watch the games in Austin, but he's asking if anyone is in the Austin area that wants to meet up for a game or two.

Love the picture of pinched pennies and the fact that it's 50% of original size. Just curious, what did you search for to grab that pick?

And is anybody in Austin or what?

No I get it now, it's cool. Carry on.

Not in Austin, but I'd love to get a job there after I graduate. It's one of the cities I'm focusing on to start my job search, though I don't have any real connections there. I just think it would be awesome to live in Austin.

It seems rather plausible someone would want to watch most of the games at home, but catch a few at a local bar with some Sox fans. When I was living in Chicago, I'd see some games at the park, some games at a bar, and some games at home. I didn't think that was weird.

Ok, but then what happened?

/that was too easy

Me too. My gf has family in the San Antonio suburbs, I love Austin and Hill Country.
