They should never put Teahen at 3B anymore. Never.

I love how dramatic players get after getting hit, you just look like a p****. Unless your hit in the head or in the groin show up the pitcher and go straight to first base.

It's nice that Mark Teahen was watching the play 5 feet off the base so Vizquel had no chance to pick off the runner around 3B.

Well, Jordan Danks appears to be having a pretty decent spring. 2/3 today. AVG up to .385

I'd bet Morel is officially named starting 3B sometime soon. This facade of a competition in order to not slight Teahen has about run its course.

It's not about giving Teahen a chance: nobody cares about Teahen at all. It's all about making your young 3B feel like he has to earn his spot, and that's exactly what the Sox should be doing. The real (unfortunate) issue is that Teahen, because of his contract, is on the team no matter what. But oh well. Maybe he'll get a pinch hit here or there. As long as Ozzie does whatever he can to keep him off the field when it matters, especially at 3B.

 

BTW reading through this thread it sounds like Melton's ready for Opening Day already.
