I really do not think the White Sox have advance scouts or recall anything outside of the current series they are playing.

i would bet matt would be the first to say he threw it too low. doesn't mean he meant to.

Thornton's fastball isn't popping as much this inning.

 

he is at 30 pitches and has thrown a whole 10 innings the last 5 weeks

One out and the M's actually are willing to hit singles in the bottom of the ninth, unlike the Sox trying to hit home runs and popping up.

whitesox.com is reporting we're trying to stretch out Thornton so that we can go with a 7 man rotation!
