It probably didn't matter, but Beckham was on third with the infield in and the contact play was on. The ball was hit right to the SS and Beckham was dead. It really wasn't his fault.

We received two gifts in this game, the first run was due to the M's poor defending and their lack of a pinch runner for Cust in the Ninth gave us an extra life. He failed to manage the team leaving Thornton in for two full innings for absolutely no reason and should be excused.
