its a nice way to pick up a run in the bottom of the 9th in a tie game. in the third, in that situation, it is a wasted out and a wasted opportunity

I am not criticizing Juan there, he got the job done. But in general principle, if you are squeezing in the third inning, something is wrong with that player (and clearly there is something wrong with Juan).

 

It was def. the right call because he was not gonna get the run in swinging.

what i prefer is irrelevant, since juan is playing. but yes, i would rather have juan swing there to reinforce to ozzie, kw, and jr that he has no place on this roster, 4 mil or not
