That's the Rios of 2010

It sounds like the ball was out over the plate. He's been able to hit that ball this year, because he's trying to pull everything anyway.

Clearly you're still not getting it.

Both DJ and Melton are saying he's stronger than what he's showed.

You're contending that he's not strong enough to play the position in the first place.

Neither of them agree with you.

I said the style he plays isn't strong enough. If they can't convince him to get more lift as well as pull the ball with authority, then he'll never hit at an acceptable rate. He hits at the plate like he's Luis Polonia. Can he be a 15-20 homer guy in the majors? Yes, absolutely...but if you're not going to be willing to work on hitting the ball hard, then you better be able to draw walks or hit the gap more.

stay out of the dp LEXI

Farmer pretty much calling Nathan a cheater for putting the rosin bag all over his uniform in the pen.

Well here is Dayan's chance to show something as Gardenhire doesn't go to the pen.

I'm dayan to see him go yard

Damn. Konerko couldn't score.

Unless the guy at 2b could have gotten to 3rd, that's a high risk/low reward play.

Ya, we had no where to play this guy all year. What a joke.

Please get a hit Tyler.

Work the count Tyler.

with welke's zone you know he's going to get jammed

lol lean into it Tyler!

nice try, i'll give them that.

No luck today on the hard hit balls.

If that's a double down the line, new game. One of the biggest outs of the season, but no blaming TFlo. Kid's bustin' his ass.

And DV just may be special.

What an idiot. throw f***ing strikes.

It's criminal the moronic manager allowed Peavy to stand out there and give up 6 runs in the first inning with his team on a win streak.

Balta, the whole point about Morel is that if you go into next year with 4 guys you have to hope have a huge turnaround season from 2011 in Dunn/Rios/Beckham/Morel, then you're setting yourself up for a potentially really bad year. As I mentioned earlier, 3b seems the most obvious position where you can try to upgrade if you don't want to trade Beckham.

the Twins were playing no doubles set. Nothing wrong with that from Flowers point of view, just bad luck.

safe to say this game is on the starter, peavy.

Yep, as long as he makes contact, he's dangerous. Proud of the fight in this team today.

Royce Clayton and Joe Crede coming up to start the rally (2002 post).
