With any luck at all he'll be leading off next season. That is, unless Hahn goes after someone else via trade.

Not me. I like what the Charlotte hitting instructor is doing with those guys. Walker would turn them into Beckham.

f***ing Morel should've slid in there Cobb-style. Can we get someone who teaches this s***? Raines?

"You know who was better than Ty Cobb, the Georgia Peach?"

"YAZ."

:hawk:

I'd really like to see De Aza get some games in the leadoff spot the rest of the way.

El Gordo is now hitting a robust .228 for the season.

Yet, did anyone read Joe Cowley's story about Bacon? Anyone?

Annnnnnnyyyyyyoooooone?

just did, on your suggestion. I feel bad for him if he thinks swinging at bad pitches is his only problem.

Jake looks good against Rochester

No problem. I referenced it because IMHO, Gordon is really saying "I WANT TO GO BACK TO WHAT WORKS, MY OLD SWING." Maybe I've read it wrong and need to read it again, but I dunno.

De Aza is my favorite White Sock this season, and that's including Paul Konerko.

I hope it's DeAza/Lillibridge and not Rios at leadoff.

Wonder if Danks and Milledge will get any playing time the final 2-3 weeks?

Pretty surprised they didn't recall Milledge with how well he has hit the last half of the AAA season.

BTW, is it possible for Beckham to be any worse? Morel and Rios might pass him in OPS before the end of the month. And Dunn might be down into the 150's.

They really would be better off just benching him and giving DeAza/Viciedo/Lillibridge/Milledge as many AB's as possible the final 3 weeks.

yeah, i was wondering that too. Is he in bad standing somehow?

Twins SS just handled a pop-up to center . . .

damnit Alejandro, I was rooting for the cycle

Hopefully Morel can end the season with at least 30 RBI's.

Wonder if there's ever been a player at that position to play mostly full-time and end up with fewer than 30 in a year?

Maybe Chone Figgins, but he was predominantly a leadoff hitter.

@NotHawk Hawk Harrelson

Wish I could tell you the story about the time Catfish got f***ing hammered and accidentally went into the mule's suite.

If Alexei Ramirez was one of the 10-15 biggest problems with this team...alas, he is not.

Saw Dinkleman play in Rochester 3 days ago, haha.

Tragic Number - 14

So I guess that means Peavy gets two more starts.
