It was a well hit ball Pierre didn't have much time to react but it looked like he froze then had it go over his outstretched glove.

He was probably playing more shallow than usual since the winning run was on 2nd base, but really why should he? Even on a single they might test his arm though also could just keep the bases loaded with less than 2 outs.

I think Pierre and Thornton did good. They saved us at least 4 innings. Losing in 9 is better than losing in 13. lol!

 

Oh, well won't lose sleep over this loss. However, it would be nice to beat the Royals. Once in awhile. lol

I'm assuming Humber sucked? Should there be concern considering how blah a pitcher he was in second half?

True, but if Humber pitched like this first half we'd all really be down on him.

I guess he could have a tired arm but this ain't looking good.
