Waldo the White Sox Wolf

Featured Replies

Why was this character never the full blown, costumed mascot?

Black and silver, a real animal, and perfectly personified the White Sox fanbase in the 1990s/early 2000's as a lone wolf in a sea of Cubdom.

f*** Southpaw.

This has always bugged me. Also, so much complaining on the boards lately.

The mascot was designed for children not for you. Southpaw is liked by kids and that is his targeted audience. If you want to see what has been designed for you, check out the young girls throwing tee shirts between innings.

I still qualified as a child when Southpaw was introduced...

When I had Southpaw at my kids bday party, I got to meet her. At the time, she was a hard bodied girl in her 20"s.
