Grant Hill's decision to stay in PHX had to have been knowing that they would continue to be bad and the Bulls would be good again.......there was no reason to think anything else.

 

He's like Kerry Wood, rather be in a low pressure situation than a chance at winning a championship.

 

He also got more money in Phoenix than the Bulls could have paid him.

There's also a medical staff thing going on in Phoenix that no other team in the NBA seems able to match.

I'd reckon it had a lot more to do with the $$ and the fact that their medical staff actually keeps him on the court.

Is it really the medical staff though? Hills ankle injury was horrific, I think it honestly took him that long to truly recover from it to actually stay on the court.

He's not the only guy who has said that the Phoenix staff works miracles. Nash is a big one also (that might well be why he keeps staying there also). And I believe they've had other injury recoveries in the past decade, someone remind me?

75 games in 08-09, which was the most games he played since 04-05. He also praised the medical staff over there.

Danny Ainge came out and said he'd be open to trading the Big 3 given the team's slow start. I'd imagine Thibs would be pushing for the acquisition of either of his boys.

Honestly, the only deal for the Bulls that doesn't hurt us in the frontcourt would be Korver + Brewer, which is basically a net nothing for the Celtics, but they don't add any salary beyond this year. The Bulls could definitely make it worthwhile for the Celtics with the Bobcats' pick they own that gets more valuable each year, and a few of their own. If you have to toss in Butler, do it.

I mean, if it's Korver + Brewer + that pick to balance the salaries...the Bulls lose some shooting and some defense as well. Can you convince me that Ray Allen would be a huge upgrade and not just a small one?

Id be fine with KG and Allen.

 

But no way can the Bulls make those salaries work, unless they send something like Boozer, Korver +.

Huge is an understatement. Allen is a conditioned freak and completely lights out from 3 and efficient as all hell. He hasn't lost anything the last few seasons.

There's no way the Celtics would do that. Forget KG. Ray Allen is all that matters.

All things being considered if I could add 1 Celrtic, it would be KG. ( I didnt mean the Celtics would do Boozer for KG straight up, just that in a deal for KG youd have to add some salary like Boozer)

 

Allen would be great to spread the floor etc, but having KG would really help the Bulls against the Heat. Heat have a strong back court, Allen/Rose on the floor would mean that 1 of them is likely going to have to guard Wade.

 

I doubt the Bulls get any of them, but if I could pick itd be KG (and he may consider resigning for a decent deal)
