The White Sox started off their history in Sioux City, Iowa (the opposite of Chicago) as the Cornhuskers (the only occupation less interesting than minor league baseball at the time) in 1894. However, not long after, former star first baseman (and asshole) Charles Comiskey bought the team. Realizing he didn't like being in f***ing Iowa, he moved the team to St. Paul, Minnesota, where they became the Saints. See what he did there? Soon however, the minor league Western League got "Major League" status. This obviously increased the size of their "ego's" from minor to Major as Comiskey then moved the team to the South Side of Chicago, where they adopted the former name of the current Chicago team (the Cubs), the White Stockings after their feet. Why? Because Comiskey was too damn cheap (this will come up later) to make new merchandise.
