That should be where Evans is, he can be explosive on one step. Youd think theyd use Bergeren more at the top of the key and then pass from there to cutters, but I dont know. All you can hope for is a close game and a shot to win.

He is down there but not passing it

Took the Bearcats and the 7.5

Do they know there are only 31 seconds left?

Well here we go, I think the smartest move is to just foul and put them on the line for 1 and 1. Worst case scenario you are down 3 with the ball, best case you are down 1.

Dear basketball gods I ask for 1 missed ft.

I thank you.

Damn, had a chance.

Just freaking terrible by Taylor and Bo Ryan on that last play. Ryan should have called a timeout around the 8 second mark when you could see what was happening.

Dang. Should taken a timeout and tried to run something. Tough loss, I f***ing hate Boeheim

Has anyone during this tournament hit a clutch shot in the final 10 seconds of a game?

I think the question will be, should Wisconsin used a timeout there to call a play knowing that Beoheim is going to run a zone so you can call just 1 play to get 1 open shot. Had Bruiser timed it a little better he may have been able to put it in. Good game, tough.

This hold for the last shot strategy is f***ing stupid. These kids aren't polished enough to do that. You run a normal set and get the best shot you can and worry about the clock if you make it.

Bo knows those TOs don't carry over to next season?

Agreed, same reason you see so many teams blow 10 point leads with 5 minutes left when they go to stall ball. Honestly, you're better off going Butler strategy from last year and missing the shot with enough time for a putback.

I hate it when teams play the final seconds like Wisky did there. IU used to do it all the damned time and never got a good look at the basket. #31 (can't spell) could have bailed them out by catching that shot but it slipped from his grasp. That still wouldn't have excused the poor approach at the end. I was really hoping Wisky could pull it off.

Great game, just a dissapointing ending. You'd hope to at least get a decent shot, especially since they didn't need a 3 to win.

Badger's a lot more understanding than I would be if that was my team that just lost that way.

I don't mind the lack of a timeout off the rebound, but as you pointed out, once the ball handler got stalled 26 feet from the basket, he should have called one and set up a play.

I understand what happened there, Jordan Taylor has won many games for Wisconsin its his senior year, he took the shot. Im sure Bo Ryan told them what to do, and I guarantee that unless someone was wide open, it was going to be Taylor taking that shot. Brust was open, maybe that pass is the better play, but there were 4 seconds left and at that point you at least need to get something at the basket.

I don't know the Badgers like you do, but it seems a set play with him coming off a double screen or something would have yielded a better shot.

I think a lot of coaches are fearful of he inbounds pass in that situation though.

Absolutely, once he got trapped up front, they should have called a timeout. When Taylor finally passed to Evans, Evans should have been able to find someone open instead of having to pass it back to Taylor.

Looking at replay, Taylor could of taken one more dribble right and gotten a better look. Not a Wisc fan but enjoyed and respected Taylor.

It was what they didn't do before 4 seconds were left that hurt them. I'm not just knocking Wisconsin, teams do it all the time. It's the Jimmy Chitwood approach. They had enough time to make a pass or two and find someone open. They only needed two. It's even possible Taylor could have gotten the ball back if he gave it up. If not, that meant they were really squeezing him, which should have left someone else open for an easy bucket. Easier said than done, I know. It just drives me nuts when you lose, not getting a decent shot.

Regardless, sorry your boys lost tonight. I was definitely rooting for them. I know it sucks when the season ends in disappointing fashion. I fear that is what will happen to IU tomorrow night. Either way, I'll be there in Atlanta in red!!

Cuse was playing zone, double screen isnt going to be that effective as they wont come out in man at all. That being said, the best play would have used Taylor as a decoy, because he likely would have had 2 guys focusing on him, fake the pass to him and have a guy hopefully cut behind an over aggressive Syracuse defense.

At the beginning of the year I was concerned this team wouldnt make the NCAA tournament, they came 2 inches from the Elite 8. Syracuse is a good team, that made shots. Wisconsin didnt play bad, just some days you lose.

Jordan Taylor earned that play over 4 years.
