Ha, Notre Dame looked godawful against ISU.

Speaking of which, Doc Sadler is apparently leaving Kansas for Iowa State. Hopefully he helps us play defense.

Nebraska did have some decent defensive teams during his tenure, IIRC.

Big 10 pre-season projections for 2013-14 (from Iowa City newspaper, Press-Citizen)

I have a hard time seeing OSU in 2nd place next year. They struggled to score most of the time with Thomas this year.

I didn't think they would be as good as they were this year either, so who knows.

Kansas could be forfeiting a bunch of games

Nah. Just do what Duke did with the Lance Thomas case a couple weeks ago and refuse to talk. NCAA will then throw their hands up and claim they can't do anything when the former athlete refuses to talk.

Sets up for Wisco to steal a share of the Big Ten title

The fact that Indiana and Purdue only play each other once is idiotic. Give us a break, we're both bad at football.

Making teams play with a basketball that nobody else in the world uses should be a joke, but its not.

You mean respecting a company that helped Bo out?

When Bo Ryan was the coach at Division III Wisconsin-Platteville, Sterling provided him with camp basketballs.

Wisconsin is sponsored by Adidas (who makes basketballs), Bo Ryan is doing this because back in the day Sterling did his program a solid.

Cant say there is anything wrong with that.

Haha, right, that's the reason he uses a ball no one else uses.

It's a joke, that ball is a piece of s***. There's a reason no other team in the country uses it.

When Bo goes back to his coffin at night i'm sure the financial wealth of a bball company is on his mind.

What are we complaining about now? OSU just got handed one of the easiest Big Ten schedules ever.

In bball? Our single plays are both on the road at the two toughest places to play in the conference.

I deleted that. Someone on a UofI board said you got Mich, MSU, IU and UW as the single plays. Take out MSU and put in NU. Still easy though. Easiest in the B1G at first glance.

Not if the away games are at IU and at UW.

Doesn't matter too much. You want single plays against as many top conference teams as possible.

Eh maybe. I am mostly glad not to be going to NU. We f***ing suck there.

I HATE that we only play Michigan once. That should be protected.

Great pieces on OSU and MIchigan in the MBB main ESPN page.

No mention of Nik Irvin. He'll have to contribute ASAP.

UConn's getting 5th year transfer Lansah Kromah from GW. Don't really know much about him, but the Huskies should probably have one of the best back courts in the country

  • 2 weeks later...

Iowa State lands transfer DeAndre Kane from Marshall. Can play immediately. If we can keep his head screwed on right, sounds like he's a nice fit for our run and gun.
