2012-2013 NCAA Basketball thread

FYI, the term "rape" is beginning to take on an expanded definition since people (primarily men) are preoccupied with the requirement for penetration for an act to be rape. Therefore, any other act is not in the same league. In truth, all these acts are different and just because a man doesn't put his penis in you doesn't mean you won't live in paralyzing fear that the next time they will. If things went down as she described, she would have forever lived in fear that yet another man or that same man would use her body against her will. She was willing to die instead of face that fear. This is just like politics where points that might get legitimately debated are completely nullified because one side is completely insensitive in their discussion of it.

Great, now Hickory has turned the basketball thread into a pissing match.

Oh yeah, slow to investigate one incident by a week = slow to investigate a dozen incidents by several years.

Again, you have to exaggerate a ton just to make a point.

Oh, and who attacked the victim's character? Other than the player's defense attorney, and that's what defense attornies do.

Not quite the same thing, but wasn't it you that brought up her "mental health" issues in an earlier post?

She took Effexor for depression (as did I and thousands of others). Why do the dome shiners never fail to cite that disparagingly when defending their beloved ND? Because depressed people are prone to fabricate criminal allegations? Or to disparage the victim and imply she's crazy?

Prince Shembo will go on to play in the NFL and make millions because he was lucky enough to [allegedly] prey upon a depressed girl whom he [allegedly] made so much more depressed that she killed herself, and thus could not testify agaisnt him.

Cheer, Cheer for old Notre Dame.

Edit: "Allegedly" inserted so that the Board won't get sued or shut down.

Georgetown beats Tennessee 37-36 in MENS basketball tonight.

GT made a jumper to make it 37-36 with 4:08 left in the game!

haha

Is this halftime of Kentucky/Baylor the longest ever?

Kellogg thinks Creighton could be final 4 team. Eh. Should they're vulnerable a few days ago.

Find myself pulling for Illinois State. Yuck.

Wow, illinois st got screwed with a no call at the end there.

How was that not a foul at the end on Louisville?

Absolute screw job at the end there. What a f***ing joke. The entire second half not one call went ISU's way. f*** THIS

ISU completely outplayed Louisville today in Louisville but they got bailed out time and time again by the refs. This is just infuriating have a top 5 upset taken away from you.

Ouch, Northwestern.

if this was posted in the college football thread, you'd be called a hater by a group of posters.

Is BYU not supposed to be that good this year? They couldn't shoot worth s*** today.

They'll be a 7-10 seed. Tyler Haws is a good player

BYU will end up with a good record but so far they've lost be double digits to FSU,ISU and ND.

BYU did not look good today. Davies looked like their best player. They kept missing wide open shots.

Wooo illinois public university fans need to stick together in our vendetta against the refs.

As an unbiased fan, ISU got screwed big time vs Louisville. That broadcast was awful, as they never showed the possible goaltending with about 15 seconds left. ISU looked extremely well coached.

Sad but it was coming eventually.
