So didn't Valverde not blow a save all last year? Opening Day he does it? Something like that.

Love baseball.

Wow, the Nats offense is awful. They're getting 1-hit by Ryan Dempster.

Love baseball.

Thus maybe he will blow all of his saves this year. Verlander has to fill good, right. 8 innings of shutout ball and then hand it over to this blow save dancer.

Mets also won 1-0. Cubs are leading 1-0. New rule in NL..all games must end 1-0? Washington only has 1 hit in 7 innings against Dempster. That is sad for the N's.

Looks like Melancon is about to blow this game.

Adam LARoche should be released after the game today. He absolutely blew two great opportunities.

The weird thing about this Red Sox/Tigers game is that we may want the Tigers to win this in the long run. That second wild card really makes scoreboard watching pointless until September. Well, more than it is already.

Looks like Aceves is off to a bad start as Red Sox closer.

Tigers win

Tigers win

And Valverde gets the W. Son of a b****...

Buehrle time

Jose Valverde with a well-deserved win. And Jose Bautista is still beast.

Who is the third guy in the booth

Wow, Adam LaRoche didn't strike out this time.

Come on Werth

God I love that I bought MLB.tv..so much baseball

Looks like Buehrle's in trouble.

Bill Murray. He just won't go away.

And Wood walks in the tying run, hahaha.

LOL, some things never change. Kerry Wood with 3 walks, tie game. It would be funny to see Wrigley's favorite ex-Cubbie break the game open right now.

I thought that he was shot after pretending to be a zombie.

This tweet sums up the last half inning:

Barry Rozner ‏ @BarryRozner

Bill Murray and Kerry Wood hugging at home plate, putting on a show. No one can explain why either one is here. #cubs

Uhh of course we want the Tigers to lose. If they totally suck this season , then we have a better chance to win the division. Tigers should have lost that game.

Kerry Wood..nice job ... you still have an ERA 0.00...isn't that crazy. WHIP is 9.00 but ERA is 0.00. Dempster gets charged with a run b/c of Kerry's nice performance. And he cannot get the win, but Kerry still can. haha!

Buehrle had a very rough 1st inning but is fortunate to only have given up a run. Maybe he was a little bit nervous or too amp'd up? 28 pitches!
