Soft tossing lefties have no prayer against Viciedo

Webgem yesterday, home run so far today...Alexei heating up in April! Sweet.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 14, 2012 -> 04:41 PM)
Way to be patient guys...Wilk's thrown like 8 pitches so far.

According to the announcers, the scouting report is that this guy is going to throw strikes.

Swing the bat Flowers! Takes way too many called 3rd strikes.

Flowers don't bloom until May after the April showers (strikeouts)

White Sox offense is the Cuban Connection.

Otherwise, not so much. 59 k's. Still looking for any differences from the Walker years.

I guess it's the fact that we're getting some clutch hits and hits with 2 outs.

More like Jamie Moyer, Bruce Chen or Tom Glavine in the latter years.

Tigers still don't have a win from a starting pitcher yet. You can partially blame Papa Grande for that, as well as Verlander choking the other day with a 2-0 lead in the 9th against the Rays.

Both hits to Jackson on 1-2 pitches. NOT GOOD, GAVIN. You've got to put a guy who is perennially a strikeout leader away.

There you go Gavin. You have a run. Don't give them anything. Don't hit them or walk them too.

I love Cubans

Really impressive plate coverage by Jackson there

The thing that makes Mark! special is that everything he throws has movement on it and he mixes it up very well. Haven't seen enough of this guy yet.

Wilk's change-up has been awful so far today.

Lexi agrees. Has he thrown many others?

Rios fouled off one up in the zone

Floyd dialing it up against Cabrera, pulling out a 94 MPH fastball to get the final strike.

Our percentage of throwing out runners is much better this year. Yay for small improvements in fundamentals.

50 pitches now for Gavin, that was a much more reasonable 10, thanks to the double play.

Wow! That was quite the hook

that was a hell of a bender for strike 3. nice job Gavin!

i love a strike 'em out throw 'em out

I don't, it was usually happening to the Sox.

When facing a great hitting team like this one, I am perfectly fine with them splitting up their 3-4-5 with some impulsive risk-taking strategies.

White Sox pull another dp. Nice strike out by Gavin.

Gavin Floyd putting up the zeroes: 000

Beckham's swing is worse now than ever. He's pushing the bat and seems to have no flexibility at the plate.
