White Sox Winner - 1st Place Chicago White Sox!!!

Featured Replies

18 innings against the Tigers lineup.

3 runs.

1.50 ERA.

:cheers I honestly can't even remember the last 4 game win streak....nice job boys.

Pitching = real good :notworthy

YIPPY KI YAY MOTHA F*****S

So far against 2 of the best lineups in the Tigers & Rangers the Sox pitching has looked good.

Gavin battled his behind off today.

5-2!!!

4-0 against AL Central

2-0 at home

and we could get better offensively...sit Dunn against LHPs and platoon for Beckham. I think Morel and Rios will come around. Pitching..cannot find a single complaint.

After one week, it's a damn good start against two teams you know should make the playoffs and Cleveland who we have to win against to make the playoffs.

Of course, we will probably melt down against the Twinkees, who suck.

Floyd with the bend but don't break pitching performance.

XB hits all over the diamond...nice swings by Tyler, Paulie and Alexei.

DeAza continues to be a threat, although it would be nice if he got his OBP over 300.

Great Sox defensive effort this season continues, bullpen with only the blip by Crain against Boesch.

Morel showing signs the last 2-3 games. Beckham and Dunn, ugly. But he at least had that RBI double against Balester.

Sets up an important chance for Chris Sale to lead the sweep and announce his presence as a rising force in the AL.

Take a look at Sale's career numbers against the Tiggs. Then let out a BIG SMILE! Of course, he hasn't had a start against them. But his numbers are promising against detroit.

Is anyone else having 2005 deja vu's?

completely different year and feel. plus...I doubt Robin has a poster of Gardy in his office like Ozzie did.

That group of Rios, Beckham, Morel..... I am going to hold back the highest expectations until I get 2 of those 3 guys showing me they can be consistently passable.

What a great start to the season. It was real nice to see 33K show up to the game as well.

This is true. Like I said, and everyone else is saying, good start against some pretty good teams. The problem with the Sox is always playing to the level of suckage of the teams against them. You don't want them biting it against KC, Cleveland and the Twinkees.

Let me just be the first to say DE-TROIT SUCKS!!!

IN the game winner thread, obviously. The chant has gone for decades...

New year, new "Detroit Sucks" chant count.

No one bothers chanting that for the Pistons any more either, so I'll give yesterday's crowd the first this year :)

True, that is a sport, isn't it...drat...

That.

Was.

AWESOME!

Floyd gives up 4-6 runs in the 2nd and/or 6th the last few years.

He pitched his rear off!

Great pitching, good defense, timely hitting..... me likey!

First place is always a great feeling!

They didn't really hit Floyd much at all. He just didn't want to give them anything to hit, kept the ball down all day, and ended up putting several on through walks and HBP
