Well that was a good pitch and he didnt call it

This has been talked about over and over, but I really can't blame Jake Peavy for his lat tearing off the bone. We can think that maybe this thing and that thing made it happen, but we don't know. We likely didn't pay at least one of his seasons of salary anyway. By all accounts he's a really good guy that wants to earn his salary.

 

I'm sure that he's a great guy. The bottom line is that this whole thing just hasn't worked. He wasn't thrilled to come here in the first place, and the whole thing has been a complete disaster. I almost wish he was pitching like garbage so it's not gonna be so GD sad everytime he takes the mound from here on out...a) because he's stuck on a loser and b) because I can't help but think about what could have been if he had been this guy in 09 and 10.

Verlander is a very likable person. One of my favorite pitchers.
