May 8, 201213 yr Author Without overreacting to one start, Molina should have been in AA for at least 10 starts, if not a full season. Edited May 8, 201213 yr by flavum
May 8, 201213 yr QUOTE (flavum @ May 7, 2012 -> 08:43 PM) Without overreacting to one start, Molina should have been in AA for at least 10 starts, if not a full season. Hoping this is just a 1 day callup.
May 8, 201213 yr Author QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 7, 2012 -> 07:45 PM) Hoping this is just a 1 day callup. That would be good. Maybe a good thing he got killed tonight, and send him right back.
May 8, 201213 yr QUOTE (flavum @ May 7, 2012 -> 07:43 PM) Without overreacting to one start, Molina should have been in AA for at least 10 starts, if not a full season. This is an emergency start due to all of the call ups for the major league team.
May 8, 201213 yr Author Dylan Bundy got 3 more innings for Delmarva. 1 unearned run. 1 hit, 0 walks, 8 k's.
May 8, 201213 yr QUOTE (flavum @ May 7, 2012 -> 07:59 PM) Dylan Bundy got 3 more innings for Delmarva. 1 unearned run. 1 hit, 0 walks, 8 k's. So good. I think he will end up better than Cole, Hultzen, and Bauer who were all picked before him.
May 8, 201213 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2012 -> 01:45 AM) Hoping this is just a 1 day callup. I think it's for the best that he didn't perform well, as I think you said in another thread. No reason in the world to rush him.
May 8, 201213 yr Petricka's line so far for BIRM, also taking it on the chin. 4 IP, 3 ER, 6 BB's, 5 K's. Only 3 hits. Over 80 pitches just to get through 4 innings, though. On the plus side, with 9 baserunners in only 4 innings, it could be a LOT worse than just 3 ER's. Love to see KWJR in there 2 games consecutively, lol. Edited May 8, 201213 yr by caulfield12
May 8, 201213 yr Marty, stop being Captain Obvious tonight. Obviously there are serious concerns, to say the least. But he has to get at least one season at AA...and even then, look at Mitchell, a lot of people gave up on him quickly when he struggled all last year until the end and he's back on the prospect radar screens.
May 8, 201213 yr Author QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 7, 2012 -> 08:25 PM) Is it too early to question Molina as a top of the rotation prospect? Absolutely not. He's a back of the rotation starter, at best. I'm not complaining about that trade though. Nothing wrong with getting a guy that's a solid 4th or 5th starter. The problem is Chris Sale could have been a #1, and they're choosing to use him as a reliever because his elbow hurts. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
May 8, 201213 yr QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 7, 2012 -> 09:25 PM) Is it too early to question Molina as a top of the rotation prospect? Yes.
May 8, 201213 yr QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 7, 2012 -> 08:25 PM) Is it too early to question Molina as a top of the rotation prospect? No. It certainly wasn't the consensus amongst scouts. Most thought/think middle of the rotation guy. Nothing wrong with that though. Edited May 8, 201213 yr by DirtySox
May 8, 201213 yr Author 7 walks for Petricka. Back where you came from, son. Leyson Septimo is quietly having a good year in AAA. Another lefty arm. Can't have enough.
May 8, 201213 yr If nothing else, we're cornering the market on lefties. Moneyball II, What will we do with them all? Sale Thornton Santiago Ohman Danks Stults Quintana Pedro Hernandez Septimo
May 8, 201213 yr This is one of those days looking at the box scores of our minor leaguers that just makes you sad. Basically any prospect we had was mediocre to awful today. Be nice to see Mitchell get back on track.
May 8, 201213 yr QUOTE (fathom @ May 7, 2012 -> 09:12 PM) This is one of those days looking at the box scores of our minor leaguers that just makes you sad. Basically any prospect we had was mediocre to awful today. Be nice to see Mitchell get back on track. Well except for the ones that pitched in the majors today...
May 8, 201213 yr Molina pitched 4 scoreless, before getting shelled. In his ONE outing in AAA. Overreact much, folks?
May 8, 201213 yr No Wilkins again. I'm assuming mental health break. Edited May 8, 201213 yr by JPN366
May 8, 201213 yr QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 7, 2012 -> 08:18 PM) Love to see KWJR in there 2 games consecutively, lol. No worries, Mark Gonzalez says he's gettin' cut in June.
May 8, 201213 yr QUOTE (flavum @ May 7, 2012 -> 07:43 PM) Without overreacting to one start, Molina should have been in AA for at least 10 starts, if not a full season. Yep, he wasn't ready for AAA yet from what I've seen.
