Sox @ Cubs 5/20 game thread 1:20 first pitch

Featured Replies

I didn't even know Maholm was on the cubs now. I only recognize him as a fringe fantasy player last year from the pirates. What kind of pitcher is he?

The Sunday line up.

True, but it's not that much worse than the normal lineup. AJP can't play everyday. Lillibridge has been bad, but so have Morel/Escobar so that's a wash. Fukudome is the only questionable move, especially with the lefty pitching.

He's been decent with the Pirates last year, pretty bad this year, albeit he has a 4-2 record. Not like that's saying anything tho.

We have not swept the Cubs at Wrigley in 13 years? Or did I mishear.

Always tough to sweep.

Soft tossing lefties kill us

Wind blowing straight out. Peavy might have trouble with the fly balls he gives up.

Maholm doing a good job changing speeds/locations so far

Flyball boys, flyballs

Maholm made a bunch of good pitches that inning. We'll see if that keeps up.

Ugh... Just watching the first inning. Maholm is THE PROTOTYPE to stifle the White Sox line-up. Gonna be a lot of 88 mph fastball being "blown" by our hitters haha

If he pitches that well we sure won't have a chance...he didn't throw a pitch in the vicinity of the middle third in those 3 AB's

How was that not a strike?

This ump is annoying and its only the first inning.

he gawn! now get ahead of the next guy

Nice comeback from the jakemeister

What a major fail by Peavy. Dejesus should be on first with a bruise on his back.

He called Buerhle's perfect game and no hitter.

1-2-3 for Jake.

lollll 69mph deuceski

Lol. Len and Bob just said that Wellington Castillo got injured on that block in the dirt of Kerry Wood's last strikeout. Haha, even in a good moment for the Cubs, they f*** it up.

THEY'RE THROWING AT US

We're gonna get no hit today.
